In 2019, South Korea introduced its 5G+ Strategy, in which they announced they were hoping to create 600 thousand 5G-related jobs by 2026, around 410 of those in the 5G service industries. The country introduced commercial 5G in April 2019.

These are defined as network and terminals (network equipment, next-generation (5G) smartphones), smart devices (VR&AR devices, wearable devices, intelligent CCTV), unmanned vehicles ((future) drones, (connected) robots, 5G V2X), and security and computing (information security, edge computing).
**Refers to jobs in the 5G+ core services. These are defined as immersive contents, smart factories, autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and digital healthcare.
