According to a survey conducted by Vase.ai on Malaysians' media consumption during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, by the third phase of the MCO, 35 percent of respondents received news updates via Telegram updates from the Malaysian National Security Council during phase 3 of MCO. Others rely on YouTube at 24 percent. The Malaysian government initially implemented the MCO period for two weeks from March 18, 2020. It has been extended for the fourth time, to June 9.
