According to a survey conducted by Vase.ai on Malaysians' leisure activities during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, 40 percent of respondents stated they spent their time exercising followed by playing video or online games at 38 percent. The Malaysian government issued the MCO period for two weeks from March 18, 2020. It has been extended for the fourth time, to June 9.

The Movement Control Order was a restriction on the movement of people in Malaysia, in their efforts to slow down the spread of COVID-19. It was introduced on March 18, 2020, and was expected to be lifted on June 3, 2020.
