Opinions on reduction in salary in Italy 2020

A salary reduction might mean an investment on professional development for many employees. This is what the results of a survey conducted by JobPricing in Italy at the beginning of 2020 reveled.
Indeed, about 70 percent of respondents declared to agree on a pay cut if this would lead to either a higher salary in the future or better working conditions. For instance, 26.8 percent of surveyed employees pointed out that they would accept it in order to take part to a training program which would bring a wage increase by four month salaries within three years. Moreover, about 12 percent of respondents indicated a variable company bonus based on individual goals as a condition to accept a wage reduction. However, 29.5 percent stated they would keep their salary as it was.
