On 20 April 2020, the government in Poland initiated the first stage of lifting restrictions related to the outbreak of coronavirus. The limits on the number of people in shops were lifted, which had a significant impact on sales dynamics in week 17 of 2020. The value of sales this week increased by 22 percent and 38 percent, compared to 2019 and the previous week, respectively.
