According to a April 2020 survey of adults in the United States, nearly a quarter of Hispanic respondents felt that if the government tracked people's location through their cellphone during the coronavirus outbreak it would help a lot in limiting the spread of the virus. However, other respondents groups were less optimistic and 64 and 62 percent of White and black respondents respectively did not think it would make much of a difference.
