Change in hotel room stock in Moscow 2017-2028
In 2023, 314 new modern quality rooms were opened in hotels in Moscow, the capital of Russia. Over the period under consideration, the highest increase in rooms was observed in 2017 at nearly 1.7 thousand. That was related to the 2018 FIFA World Cup being held in the country, which led to an increased tourist flow. In 2024 and 2025, the hotel room stock in the city was expected to grow at an accelerated rate, with over 645 new rooms forecast to be commissioned in Moscow's hotels in 2024.
