LNG tankers had a cumulative storage capacity of 114 million cubic meters worldwide in 2023. Of this, 113 million cubic meters was the operational capacity of vessels that were known to be in service. Capacities increased by nearly 45 million cubic meters between 2016 and 2023. The global LNG tanker fleet encompassed 772 vessels as of year end 2023.
