A weekly survey carried out in the United Kingdom (UK) in May 2020 revealed the regional origin of sources being used for coronavirus news. Nearly a quarter of respondents said they had used local media organizations in the past week more than they did before the coronavirus outbreak. 17 percent of respondents said the same about news organizations from abroad.
