According to a survey conducted on leisure and entertainment activities after COVID-19, most respondents expected declines in their offline leisure spending after COVID-19. The percentage of respondents who expected a significant spending cut in their dining, movie-going, and travel activities were 26 percent, 33 percent, and 35 percent, respectively.

The survey was conducted among respondents who were:
52% male and 48% female.
36% under 25 years old and 64% aged 25 years and above.
19% from the first-tier cities, 47% lived in second-tier cities and 34% from third- and fourth-tier cities.
The gender, age ratio, and city distribution of the respondents simulated the overall distribution of cinema audiences.
