While the Italian government has imposed strict rules on people's movement enforcing a nationwide lockdown in an effort to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, online-only brands registered a growth in revenues during the period from January to April 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year. The highest revenue increase was recorded in the first week of April, during which pure e-commerce players recorded a growth of 73 percent.
