Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 in Spain, the Government to was compelled to declare the state of health alarm on March 14, 2020. The impact of the coronavirus outbreak in Spain was significant in many industries, including advertising. As can be seen in this statistic, the total television time spent on advertising in the period from March 14 to 22, 2020 decreased by about 3 percent compared to the same period in 2019. Tourism was one of the most negatively affected sectors, with a drop in advertising volume of approximately 78 percent.
