In a survey from March 2020, 93 percent of respondents in Italy declared to be ready to sacrifice some rights due to the coronavirus emergency. Nevertheless, 23 percent of Italian respondents believed that the origin of this virus was intentional, despite the existence of proofs showing the unreliability of this theory.
Furthermore, 72 percent of Italian interviewees stated that the government's response to the current situation was good. Indeed, trust in Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has been rising and reached since the beginning of the first cabinet the highest percentage at the end of March 2020.
