In terms of personalizing the online shopping experience, online shopping platfroms need to track and document the browsing activity as well as relevant personal data of their members. This statistic represents the opinion of French online shoppers on the use of their personal data for such a purpose in 2019. Almost 60 percent of respondents were bothered about sharing their data but still understood that it was part of the experience. Less than 20 percent expressed their feelings against it, even if it meant that they had to pay more.
