Monthly Spotify app downloads in Italy 2020, by store

Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming platforms worldwide. Founded by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon, it was officially launched in Sweden in 2008. As of December 31, 2019, Spotify was available in 79 markets, registering 124 million subscribers and counting on a database of over 50 million tracks. The mobile app of the platform is currently available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. A study conducted by Airnow during the first half of 2020, revealed that the Spotify app recorded the highest number of downloads on the Google Play Store in June 2020. On this month, the app registered about 340 thousand downloads. In the same month, the app recorded roughly 106 thousand downloads on the Apple App Store.
