During a representative survey of the British adult population, undertaken between the 16th and 17th March 2020, respondents were asked their opinion on how major sporting events should be handled and scheduled during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Although the largest share of each age group of respondents held the opinion that all major sporting events should be cancelled however ther ppears to a an age dependent variation to this opinion with only 45 percent of the 18-24 year old age group indicating as such, compared to 55 percetn of the 55+ age group.
