According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on e-payment usage, about 46 percent of female and 47 percent of male e-payment users indicated that they made e-payment transactions several times a week. In the same survey, 91 percent of respondents had made a transaction using e-payment methods.

The survey was conducted among 2,440 female and 1,380 male respondents. Other surveyed countries and regions included mainland China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
