According to a survey in March 2020, trust in the information received from state and local governments about the COVID-19 outbreak is not divided on partisan lines, with 68 percent of Republicans and 76 percent of Democrats trusting local authorities either a great deal or a good deal. This is in sharp contrast to the partisan division over information received from the Trump administration.
