More than half of Spanish rural tourists surveyed between January 2020 and January 2021 were willing to spend between 20 and 29 euros per night for accommodation services. In contrast, only nine percent would spend more than 40 euros per night on lodging, while roughly one in ten would look for accommodations under 20 euros. Rural tourism is defined as the offer of tourism services located in rural areas, mainly aimed at inhabitants of urban areas looking for travel experiences in contact with nature and local people.
