According to a survey on urban mobility, 74 percent of the respondents aged between 25 to 34 years stated their support for the congestion pricing policy to curb congestion in India in 2019. This was the maximum share in support for the policy among the different age groups in the survey. Respondents from north India and patrons of non-motorized transport were found to be more supportive of congestion pricing.

Respondents were from six metro cities, 16 tier one cities and 38 tier two cities.
Note:
Metro - population of over seven million
Tier one - population between 2 million and 7 million
Tier two - population between 0.1 million and 2 million
