Data are from the National Survey of Hospital Emergency Department Structures. This survey is conducted on an irregular basis by the Directorate of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (DREES) and the Ministry of Health. The last survey was carried out between 8 am on 11 June 2013 and 8 am the next day among all patients who had presented themselves to the emergency services in all the structures authorized for this activity in metropolitan France and in the French overseas departments. The figures have been rounded off.
* The source adds the following information: “The question about the start date is filtered out. Patients who could not be questioned: who refused to answer the survey, who were brought in by law enforcement under duress or who came from a health facility were not questioned."
