In the first half of 2020, the largest merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions took place in the communications industry. The average deal in that sector was worth 151 million U.S. dollars. Different regions globally had varying average deal values per sector. In North America, the waste management and treatment sector had the highest average deal size. Meanwhile, the communications sector also reigned supreme in Western Europe.
