The new Nutri-Score food label introduced in Germany in 2019 was reported to be much more eye catching than the preexisting labelling system. About 88 percent of consumers found the colors (green, yellow, and red) of the new label more meaningful than the old Wegweiser Ernährung, while 87 percent of the respondents considered the Nutri-Score easier to detect and understand.
