According to a survey conducted in February 2020, two in three Italians adults holding a car insurance policy said that they finalized their insurance contract through a traditional insurance company. However, when looking at the difference between various age groups, individuals aged between 35 and 44 years and individuals aged between 45 and 54 years of age were more likely to trust online insurance providers (36 and 38 percent respectively) compared to both younger and older age groups.
