According to a survey conducted in February 2020, two in three Italian adults holding a car insurance policy said that they finalized their insurance contract through a traditional insurance company. However, when looking at the difference between the different macro-regions of the country, individuals living in the South and especially on the Islands were more likely to trust a traditional insurance company (72 and 79 percent respectively). By contrast, in Central Italy nearly one in two individuals said that they finalized their car insurance policy online, the highest share in the country.
