According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight on smart speakers, about 44 percent of respondents aged between 16 to 24 years stated that they did not intend to buy a smart speaker in the next six months. In the same survey, more than half of the respondents did not own a smart speaker.

The survey was conducted among
3,186 respondents aged 16 to 24 years,
2,276 respondents aged 25 to 34 years,
1,327 respondents aged 35 to 44 years,
583 respondents aged 45 to 54 years and
394 respondents aged 55 years and older.
