According to a 2023 survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, about 60 percent of respondents stated that they wanted a device to control their smart appliances remotely. In the same survey, about 31 percent of respondents stated that they owned a smart speaker.
Influencing factors for owning smart speakers among Indonesians as of December 2023
Original question: What are the factors that influenced your purchase of a smart speaker? Choose up to three answers.
The survey was conducted among 6,268 female and 4,832 male respondents in Indonesia. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.
