According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight, approximately 47.81 percent of Vietnamese respondents indicated that they tried functional beverages because of the claimed health benefits. In the same survey, the majority of respondents stated that they tried fermented and probiotic drinks which promote gut health.
Reasons for trying functional beverages among consumers in Vietnam in 2019
Original question: Why did you decide to try the beverages?
The survey was conducted among 1,618 female and 1,513 male respondents. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.
