In 2022, approximately 862 thousand students graduated from different master's and doctor's degree programs at public colleges, universities, and research institutes in China. Of these students, around 780 thousand were master's graduates, whereas 82 thousand were doctor's graduates. While around 261,500 students obtained a master's degree in engineering that year, only 24 students graduated in military science.
