According to entry polls conducted at the 2020 Democratic Party Iowa caucuses, 43 percent of non-white voters intended to vote for Bernie Sanders, making him the most popular candidate amongst this group. Votes were more evenly split between candidates for white voters, who constituted 91 percent of the voters surveyed.
The Iowa caucuses were held on February 3, 2020, and are the first contest in the primaries for the Democratic Party to choose their candidate for the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
