Distribution of domestic holidays in the Netherlands 2018, by accommodation

As of 2018, more than 40 percent of Dutch tourists spent their domestic holidays at holiday homes or mobile homes, whereas 26 percent of the tourists had their overnight stays at hotels, hostels or bed and breakfasts. In total, approximately 41 million holidays were registered from the Netherlands in 2018, which is the highest volume within the period of 2014 to 2018. 18.7 of these holidays had a domestic destination, whereas a little over 22 million holidays were spent abroad.
