As of the Q3 2019, the Indonesian government earned around 32.79 trillion Indonesian rupiah through mining, of which around 58 percent was generated by royalties. In that year, the ministry for energy and mineral resources set a regulation that at least 25 percent of the coal needs to be sold within the country.
