Among the areas within the Greater Metro Manila Area in the Philippines, about 37.6 percent of land area in Rizal was prone to landslide and ground shaking hazards in the event of an earthquake in 2018. On the other hand, the exposure of Cavite to that hazard was only one percent of the land area.
