Brazil: share of vegetarians 2012-2023

A 2023 survey found that 13 percent of Brazilian respondents followed an ovo-vegetarian, strict vegetarian or vegan diet. This is nearly double the percentage in 2012, when only eight percent of respondents said they were vegetarians, but one percent less than in 2018.
