Attitudes toward farmed animal welfare 2018, by country

As of September 2018, a survey was released concerning the attitudes and behaviors towards the welfare of farmed animals. The study was conducted among people living in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and in the United States (U.S.). According to the survey results, the majority of the survey people agreed that it is important that animals used for food are well cared for, as 89 percent of the Brazilians and 80 percent of the Russians declared. Similar results were found for the U.S and India. Nevertheless, 43 percent of the Chinese people taking part in the questionnaire didn't express a clear opinion on the topic.
