One of the most prestigious art and cultural events, the Biennale International Art Exhibition in Venice, also known as the Art Biennale, is a contemporary art exhibition organized every two years by La Biennale di Venezia. The 59th edition of the Biennale, titled The Milk of Dreams, was curated by Cecilia Alemanni and took place from April to November 2022. Overall, it welcomed approximately 800 thousand visitors, a 35 percent increase from 2019 and the highest attendance reported to date.
