The inward stock of foreign direct investment (FDI) in countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reached around 463.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2023, having decreased from the previous year. The 2021 figure was the highest over the observed period.

UNCTAD specified the following information: "FDI stock is the value of the share of capital and reserves (including retained profits) attributable to the parent enterprise, plus the net indebtedness of affiliates to the parent enterprises.
It is approximated by the accumulated value of past FDI flows."
