According to a research focusing on 21 countries divided in four geographical areas, it is estimated that the number of Italian outbound tourists visiting Mediterranean countries in 2020 will increase by 3.8 percent compared to the previous year. Specifically, the Mediterranean countries included in the research were France, Spain, Portugal, and Greece. Furthermore, the number of outbound tourists travelling from Italy to Northern Europe is forecasted to rise by three percent compared to the figure registered in 2019.
