According to a study conducted in South Korea in 2022, over 56 percent of respondents aged 60 years and older stated that both remarrying and choosing not to was fine. Among those with a specific opinion, a larger share, at nearly 22 percent, felt that people should not remarry, while 13.5 percent felt they should.
