Over the years, Italian listeners changed their preferences concerning the device utilized for listening to audiobooks. For instance, the number of Italians preferring their smartphone for listening to audiobooks grew from 75 percent in 2018 to 81 percent in 2019. A growth was also registered for the use of tablets and notebooks. By contrast, the use of MP3 players as well as CD players remained rather stable.
