In 2021, Cineworld Group plc's global revenue amounted to approximately 1.8 billion U.S. dollars – less than 42 percent of the 4.37-billion-dollar result reported two years earlier. Out of the 2021 total, 1.22 billion dollars (almost 68 percent) came from the cinema circuit operations in the United States. Two years before, the U.S. accounted for more than 73 percent of Cineworld's revenue worldwide. Regal Cinemas, a division of Cineworld, was among the leading cinema circuits in the U.S. and Canada by number of sites in 2020.
