Over 80 percent of employers in the Netherlands gave employees either a Christmas box or a gift/gift voucher at the end of the year. This was not just the most popular holiday tradition among Dutch employers, employees too appreciated the gesture. Of the Dutch employees taking part in this survey, nearly 90 percent stated they would like their employer to organize a Christmas box, gift or gift voucher.

This question was phrased by the source as follows: "Wat wordt vanuit uw werkgever georganiseerd?" and "Wat zou u willen dat er georganiseerd wordt vanuit uw werkgever?" (English: "What does your employer organize?" and "What would you like your employer to organize?") The results have been weighted to represent the entire population.
