The value of government construction in Cuba amounted to nearly 8.3 billion Cuban pesos in 2018, out of which almost six billion pesos referred to architectural work, such as residential and industrial buildings, buildings for health, education, tourism and agricultural purposes, as well as other types of non-residential buildings. Civil engineering work (hydraulic and hydrological works, electrical networks, roads and other civil engineering works) added up to 2.32 billion pesos that year.

Civil engineering work represents hydraulic and hydrological works, electrical networks, roads and other civil engineering works.
