According to a report on the state of bicycle roads in South Korea, there were around 5,400 accidents caused by bike riders in 2022 and more than a quarter of them were caused by elderly riders over 65 years old. Riders aged 51 to 60 were the second-ranking cause of accidents, causing around 15.3 percent.
