According to a 2019 survey, about one third of American adults who had taken out a student loans reported that they fully comprehended how long it would take to pay back their loans. 33 percent of respondents said that they fully understood the length of time student loan repayment would take, while 14 percent of respondents said that they did not comprehend at all how long the process would take.
