According to a survey conducted in 2019 by Rakuten Insight on consumer behavior in Japan, more than 63 percent of female respondents and almost 50 percent of male respondents never consume non-alcoholic beer. While male respondents in general were more likely to consume alcohol-free beer, the difference by gender among regular consumers of non-alcoholic beer was less pronounced.
