According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, around 15 percent of respondents in their twenties stated that they visited a PC bang at least once a week within the last year. Teenage gamers were the second-most frequently visiting age groups. PC bang, literally translated “computer room”, may seem like internet cafes, but are mostly used for gaming. Since the hourly fares are relatively low, they have become popular social meeting places, especially among young gamers.
