Due to the government policy changes in response to environmental protection, the number of cement companies in China has been shrinking in the past years. In 2018, there were around 2,900 cement companies. The projected figure would further decrease to 100 by 2035, representing a continuous plummet in the cement industry. According to the forecast, the number of cement plants would probably show the same trend, down to one thousand by 2035.
