In a ranking of leading advertisers in Spain, the cosmetics company L'Oreal took the top spot ,with advertising expenditures of 71 million euros in 2021. Procter & Gamble ranked second, while Orange Espagne close the top three. While Volksvagen lead the pack in 2019, tow years later the auto maker fell to the seventh place in the ranking.
The Volkswagen Group in Spain
Spaniards buy over a million new passenger cars each year. Volkswagen is one of the leading passenger car brands in the country. Furthermore, because the Volkswagen Group owns the Spanish auto manufacturer Seat, advertising is even more important in the Spanish market.
Seat and Volkswagen
Seat is the fourth largest Volkswagen Group brand, when ranked by sales figures. This makes Spain one of the most important markets for the firm. However, the company’s advertising spending worldwide generally exceeds five billion U.S. dollars, making the total spent in Spain seem less significant.
