According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in February 2024, a majority of respondents in India said they consumed plant-based alternatives for animal food products several times a week. This was highest among Indians between 35 and 44 years old. In contrast, respondents who consumed only plant-based alternatives made up the highest share among 25 to 34 year old Indians during the survey period.
